ROBOQUARIANS Vol. 1 Out March 29, 2024

'The Roboquarians, Vol. 1' is a brand new recording under the name of Japanese born, Brooklyn-based Ayumi Ishito working together with like minded musicians: George Draguns, on guitar, who came up through the hardcore scene of the 80s (“the movement” as Mike Watt calls it) and the ultra-flexible Kevin Shea on drums.

Open Question Vol. 2 out Nov 3, 2023

The band formed organically in 2019 from weekly jam sessions in Harlem; it is comprised of tenor saxophonist Ayumi Ishito, pianist Eric Plaks, bassist Zach Swanson, and drummer Jon Panikkar, and later, multi-instrumentalist Daniel Carter.

The Spacemen Vol.2 out April 28, 2022

The Spacemen is an elegant approximation of Ayumi’s interstellar imagination. Where the first edition of this project was more upbeat, propelled by an exploratory excitement, the second installment is even more reflective, heavily reliant on ambient open space. Led by Ayumi Ishito (Tenor Saxophone) alongside Theo Woodward (Synthesizer, Vocals), Nebula The Velvet Queen (Theremin), Jake Strauss (Guitar, Bass), and Steven Bartashev (Drums).
